ABOUT ME

Richard Hughes is a Modesto native, born and raised in the Central Valley. His real estate background dates back to 70's where he gained employment at a local title company and began learning about the business. From engineering meetings and new home development planning to commercial sales and land acquisition, Richard has had a hand in various facets of the real estate world. 

Escala Properties was created in 2009 to service and represent the new home sales for local builders, like Florsheim Homes, DM2 Homes, Rangel Homes, and Fitzpatrick Homes to name a few.  As a Broker, Richard Hughes, managed all of the new home sales for Florsheim Homes. In 2015, Richard decided that he wanted to start a team to represent multiple subdivisions in Modesto for the builder. As time went on (and the market picked up), Escala needed to grow to keep up with the new construction demand. Richard brought on more agents as our local builder clientele ramped up production throughout the Central Valley.

Now Richard lives in North Modesto with his beautiful, Brazilian, marathon-running wife and numerous dogs. In his personal time, Richard is an active pilates and car enthusiast who enjoys traveling the world to experience fine foods and worldly wines.
